Offering 5 championship golf courses, Bonita Bay is the only community in Florida that does so. Having two different locations, Bonita Bay West and Bonita Bay East, each course offers a different style of play and environment for all skills levels. All five courses are certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary courses.
Bonita Bay West has 3 courses designed by Arthur Hills on site in the Bonita Bay community: Creekside, Marsh and Bay Island courses. The clubhouse offers formal and informal dining rooms, lounges, pro shops, and men’s and women’s locker rooms. The West also has 2 driving ranges and 2 putting greens.
Bonita Bay East, located in North Naples, is home to the other 2 courses designed by Tom Fazio: Sabal and Cypress. The distinctive difference with Bonita Bay East is that there is no residential building on this site, just golf and nothing else. It encompasses 895 acres of cypress wetlands and 190 acres of lakes and woodlands. It has its own clubhouse, locker rooms and large driving range.
Bonita Bay also has its own marina for boaters. There are 90 wet slips as well as 330 dry slips for boats up to a length of 36 feet and a maximum draft of 3 feet. Also available is a bait shop, fuel, service showers, dressing facilities and a fully stocked ship store. Located next to the marina, Bonita Bay also has its own restaurant called Backwater Jacks. It offers a full menu and liquor bar during its seasonal operation which begins on November 1st.
Bonita Bay offers a variety of other amenities including a tennis center, fitness facilities, three waterfront parks and a private beach park. The tennis center has 18 courts, league teams, Calcutta tournaments, and teaching center directed by a USPTA master professional. For health and fitness, there is a 10,000 square foot facility with 34 cardio equipment machines, an aerobics room, three separate rooms for massages and spa treatments, and a heated lap-sized swimming pool. Also provided are a number of specialists to help conditioning, athletic training and strength training. Lastly Bonita Bay offers 4 parks for your leisure and enjoyment. The private beach park is located offsite on the Gulf of Mexico. It has picnic tables, grills, gazebos, showers, restrooms, and a shuttle that travels from Bonita Bay to the private park during the winter months. The other three parks are located within the community: Spring Creek, Estero Bay, and Riverwalk. These parks all have picnic areas and playgrounds for kids. Spring creek has a canoe launch, Estero Bay an 800 foot board walk with information stations about plants animals, historic sites, and archeological remnants, and Riverwalk has a basketball court, fitness trail and two lighted tennis courts.
